What are you even talking about? The problem is not solved if that’s what you mean. Some things are worst, but many things changed for the better in the last 40 years. For instance the emission of europe decreased by more than 30% since I was your age (5yo), not counting deindustrialization. It’s insufficient, but it has to start somewhere.

Many of those changes come from the public support, that is shown in many ways, including the lifestyle of the voters. For instance if the dutch people didn’t start cycling that much, leading the way for the rest of northern europe, the emissions from transportation would be higher on the continent.

You’re right, for some reasons we see it as “the 10% per country”. If you’re from north America or Europe you will very probably end up in the world’s 10% at one point in your life.

The fucked up part is that you can be in the 10%, be a part of the problem, and still have a shitty life, because the system is that fucked up.

Europe + north America is about 8% of the world population, so that number doesn’t help to narrow it down at all.
