2·9 days agoKind of ironic that you’re calling people ignorant when you think tens of thousands of dollars is affordable for most folks. A lot of people are struggling even to afford low end used internal combustion engines.
While, $30,000-40,000 might be considered “affordable” by some luckier people, for many, that is not even remotely close to being a financially viable choice The reality for many is that they are completely priced out of being able to buy any new car, never mind an EV.
I’m still driving an old manual transmission Subaru, but my daily driver is an e-bike or bicycle usually.

2·25 days agoYeah, that is pretty cool. My immediate reaction was, “Damn, that thing is 90s thick!” but then I saw the batteries and was a lot more OK with it.
