Just adding my two cents in here to say that allies can come in all shapes and sizes, and we need all the allies we can get. Im also not above calling out men for their terrible behavior.

The patriarchy exists for everybody and affects every single person, no matter your gender race sexual orientation etc etc. For men this normally takes the toxic masculinity form, where feelings are discouraged, and caring for yourself is for soft men. If you welcome a cis man into a space where its ok to feel what you feel, therapy for example, theres a better chance that that man will develop empathy for others because someone else had empathy for him.

For the time i was pretending, a common theme amongst men is isolation, echo chambers, and labeling fear. Much the same as it is now. They gravitate towards people who think like them, because for men approaching a group of people or just a single person is threatening. And its a position earned by other people in their gender.

Yes men have started 99.99% of wars. Yes men are directly or indirectly responsible for almost everything bad in our world. But kevin and thomas down the street didnt make those things happen.

Dividing is whats destroying us. Being open and inclusive is the name of the game in my mind. People are just people and they make mistakes. If theyre open to learning or being better to others and the world then im willing to let them learn.

Dont further the culture war for them. Be open to humanity as a whole, not just your favorite parts. And punch nazis!

If you feel really exposed, especially in really short skirts, you can always wear legging shorts or something like that under it. Or, if youve ever heard of rompers(?), you can get romper style skirts. My shortest skirt is like that.

Rompers are a dress/skirt style where instead of it being fully open it has legholes and extra fabric to make kinda like their own shorts in them. Theyre great for not feeling wide open like that!

Only problem is, if you get a romper dress, you have to take the whole thing off basically to BIO but hey thats life for us girls 😂

To be honest im well past hidey clothes in general. I have worn a sundress in public this year on our first hot day. More recently its been legging shorts and skirts.

Its more just giving less of a fuck about what others think and making it more about what i think of myself. Its like a scale, my thoughts on one side, others on the other. The more i do it, the less weight others thoughts have on my scale. All that weight gets added to my side when i love myself and am generally happier.

Eventually my side will fully outweigh the other side, and there will be no going back after that. Ill be free, out, and proud. And most importantly, happy ❤️❤️

I hardly ever take mine out so screws and rings are great for that. But if you do want to take it out for any reason then pins and Lshapes are best.

The screw studs arent difficult to remove tbh, theyre difficult to put on in the first place.

With rings you can get ones that snap closed or just simple rings. If you get simple rings you have to bend it back to put on then bend it into place. Bend sideways(pull two ends of the ring sideways away from eachother) instead of bending the ring out(the way that makes it a “bigger” ring). Trust me, its easier to bend back into place that way. ❤️❤️

Edit: there is a bar that the screw ones use, but its not permanently there. You can and should take it out if you dont have something screwed into it
