Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney wants closer links with the European Union and is exploring whether his country could become an “associate member” of the bloc, The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday.

icelands a shit load closer than an “associate member”, they’re a member of Schengen for example.

you should also notice its a rural/city divide in Iceland, the only city, voted to fully join the EU.

the worlds problems need to be solved by nations being closer, not by balkanisation,
