No way can you send flowers to their hospital room.
It’s probably from that one guy who makes even more dystopian screenshots to poke fun at these companies
Here, I found him, Soren Iverson, and the specific post too:

This seems to be a site he made to house (all?) of his satirical images.
The fact we even have to ask in this day and age lol
You think they don’t get kickbacks from the flower company?
This image is a joke, but this actually happened to me once. Was very confused as to why a delivery was taking so long, especially since the place I ordered from wasn’t too far from me. Turns out the driver was planning to deliver mine last on their way back to their store, but got hit.
I didn’t have to go retrieve my order from the wreckage though, just had to make the trek out to the store and leave an extra large tip for the driver.
Tip culture is so weird. Like, I get feeling bad for the guy…I was that driver once (my car slipped out of park on a steep driveway and rolled backwards into traffic)…but he didn’t do the one thing he was supposed to, and you paid him extra for it.
I’d be worried even more of the tip not going to him
Doordash has been repeatedly caught stealing tips, hasn’t it?
Yep, tips can credit towards minimum wage.
Depends on state, but it means the employer may go as low as $2.13/h if the employee gets enough tips.
https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/state/minimum-wage/tippedSo, you might just be tipping the employer.
Jesus that’s extremely illegal in most western countries. Minimum wage is minimum wage, you’re not allowed to include theoretical tips that the server might get.
It’s the same with performance bonuses, which is essentially what tips are, the base salary has to be declared on the job listing and has to be paid. None of this “with gratuity salary is equivalent to minimum wage” nonsense.
Jesus that’s extremely illegal in most western countries.
Sums up most of what I know about the US, really.
I mean there’s always the chance, but it was a local place and I’d like to imagine a mom and pop wouldn’t do an employee that shitty
Uuugh, can’t I just order another expendable to pick it up for me
Dasher was a driverless Waymo.
Reminds me of the video of that police officer delivering someone’s order
