Let’s see the art tho
It’s all up and down my user profile, nearly all my submitted posts are art. I’m a photographer.
On it.
OP is the art, you lowly philistine! (But also the shot in the OP is quite lovely.)
A random art from my back catalog:

Damn gurl, that’s really nice. I know it’s a hard sell thanks to the modern plague of automated art theft by megacorporations, but if you ever feel like getting involved in a Wikimedia project, Wikimedia Commons (CC BY-SA or less strict) lives for this kind of stuff. Lots of small towns that don’t have any images at all and even lots of sizable cities with shockingly little modern photographic coverage. Can be surprisingly useful on projects like Wikipedia or just as its own thing for individuals.
Honestly, I’m always down to take pictures and have my work seen. Tonight’s work on the Ross Island Bridge was largely a bust, cause I forget how much that damn thing bounces, but hey, I need an excuse to go shoot stuff.
Always love to see your photos.
Thank you so much! I do what I can to grow in this field every day.
Well thanks for sharing it with us.
Shout out to the Hawthorne Bridge, gotta be my favorite bridge in Portland (not to drive over tho). I love the green steel beams with the brick-red counterweights, and the whole lifting mechanism is super neat.
There’s a fair chance that you can see me out there on any given evening or night, working on art. My hat’s always on!
I just finished a long cool shoot on the Ross Island Bridge tonight!

I should have better non-phone shots when I get home and work on them.
MF tried tricking us with a wardrobe change but we did y’all, we fucking found Waldo.
Sorry, those are custom-made glasses which help me to interpret my face better. I’ve got a couple of pairs. They’re a medical aid.
This is such an interesting string of words, I hope you don’t mind me being nosey but what does it mean to “interpret your face better”? Like you’re face blind or you don’t recognize yourself in a mirror?
Two strokes. One in October ‘23, one a few days after I was born. I’ve got a few disabilities including motor control issues and severe facial recognition troubles, and difficulty maintaining and remembering identities.
So I make myself as easy to remember as possible, people come up, say “hey Tanis!” And then if they’re cool, they tell me who they are. If they know about my problems and they don’t, they’re dicks on a one-way information exchange.
