    As someone currently marking final papers, I think it’s closer to “go die in whatever way your AI deems best”.

          Low-information utilitarianism, which is in many cases a kind of anti-utilitarianism. Maximizing for the least optimal outcome, if you will.

                yeah, you’re right, chatgpt and other chatbots will lead to a cognitive decline in some way

                then again, i’m not sure that’s a bad thing; people’s wellbeing is influenced by a lot of things, such as good quality food, enough time off work, social connections. i don’t see these things being influenced by AI. in fact, if anything, i hope people will spend less time in front of screens because instagram will be overrun with bots. and that’s a net positive to people’s quality of life.
