Hihi so nervous it’s my first post here but with all you beautiful ladies posting I thought I would join in, I have been hesitant to post a picture yet because I am pretty sensitive about being a bald transfem (something I plan to make a post about), but what the hell. I haven’t really got makeup down yet so not wearing any here (I put some on but did a bad job so took it off for the pic lol). Behind me is my music gear :3 I’m wearing my first shiny nail polish which I absolutely adore, I’ve got decent at nails and love love love having that pop of color in my life I can choose to suit my mood hehe

I just came out earlier this year after what feels like 20 years of being an absolute zombie, and I am so relieved to have what feels like a massive weight off me and I can see a pretty future for myself for once :)

Feel free to ask any questions , otherwise love you all, thank you for being a constant source of inspiration, you’re beautiful <3

I didn’t want to make it seem like I was using it to promote myself, I guess I’m not selling anything anyways, I added some links to the top post so you can hear what I’m doing with it, there’s also a video on youtube, well two.

The mixer is 32 channel (16 stereo) mixer with 4 aux send that I use as my main mixer now, below that is an E-mu E5000 sampler from the 90s, it usually used disks or SCSI HDD but mine is using an internal SSD with a mod, which is packed with a bunch of old sample CDs and a bunch of my samples. below that there’s a Yamaha TG-77 synthesizer which was the most powerful FM synthesizer of the early 90s, it has 2 6-op FM with 2 AWM elements per voice which makes some really weird and pretty sounds :) to the left of that top to bottom, is a Alesis 3630 compressor, which was a popular compressor in 90s techno music due to the nice snappy dynamics it give to kick drums! Below that is another 90s standard, the Alesis QuadraVerb which was popular with a lot of IDM artists it’s used a lot of early Aphex Twin, below that is a much more expensive reverb the Lexicon PCM-80 with a dual FX card, this is a very lush reverb unit to me it sounds so much better than plugins still today, there is really not much comparison. Below that is a E-mu Ultraproteus from, you guessed it, the 90s, this one is really cool, it is a ROMpler at heart but it has 255 different Z-plane filters, which can make some very cool and strange sounds out of normal waveforms. Below that is Behringer’s reproduction of an ARP 2600 because I can’t afford a real one. It makes a lot of great bass noises, effects, an ARP 2500 was used in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and I think the 2600 was used to do R2D2. That’s all the rack stuff, there’s a bunch more scattered around. I used to have more but I’ve been unemployed and have had to sell some off.

Thank you so much for the rundown! I recognized the 3630 and the QuadraVerb because I used to have those too, but couldn’t make out anything else. It seems like a great set up; I hope you have a lot of fun with it :)

nail polish is such a great feminizing accessory. you get to look down and see feminine hands all the time. its so affirming but its so hard to paint between the lines lol.

hehe it is a lot of fun :) I got big into rave in the 90s, since then it was always a dream to have a room full of bleepy hardware noise makers, I finally got it together something after working my ass off overtime at a shitty warehouse job a few years ago. It was when I finally had it all together and I still wasn’t happy that I realized there was something else going on… and here I am today

anyway, anyone’s welcome to play haha

Yay, thanks for posting! I love shiny polish too!

You’ve really fallen into the electronic music transfem stereotype :3 So many controls to fiddle with 🤩

yay thanks for seeing ❤️ Isn’t it great? almost feels magical, like pixie dust

haha yes, actually that is interesting because after I came out I started looking more into the artists I was listening to an it turns out a lot of them were also trans, so I guess it’s a thing. ya give me knobs and esoteric menu diving and I’m in seventh heaven 👼
