It’s crazy how we just stopped talking about Kavanaugh’s drinking problem, Alito’s money problems, and Thomas’s sexual harassment problem after they were sworn in.

I’m sure none of that shit affects how they make their decisions or who has sway over them when they step down from the bench.

You forgot Barrett and Gorsuch committing perjury, and Thomas accepting bribes from petitioners of the court, not to mention his sexual assault allegations.

I don’t recall those allegations, but I wouldn’t put it past either one.

She specifically said before being confirmed to the SC that Roe v Wade was settled law, and then later defended overturning it.

Ah. Was this some kind of claim about Barrett promising not to issue a ruling during testimony? Diane Feinstein was an absolute sucker for buying it. Worst part is that she could have sat on the ACB nomination for, like, a month and delivered the seat to a Biden nominee. Given that McConnell held a SCOTUS seat open for eight months in 2016, you’d think this would have been an easy win for liberals.

But hey, maybe Dems will have a big enough majority to pack the courts in another two years. Surely they’ve learned their lesson by now.

Feinstein is a dipshit and I don’t know if she wa being stupid or dishonest, but I take a greater issue that a Senator shouldn’t be expected to believe a SCOTUS nominee is telling the truth when they answer a direct question under oath.

Worst part of all of this is that, IF they sincerely believed that Trump won in 2020, or that Trump could legally run for a third term, then they would answer honestly and make the legal argument supporting their position. They were asked the question under oath and they refused to answer because they know that they do not have a legitimate legal defense for their partisan positions, and they will rule in favor of Trump regardless of the law.

The difference between being idiots and willingly evil.

Well, being “just” an idiot isn’t really an option for a SCOTUS judge.

They should have asked if Obama could run again.

Actually if Trump runs a third time them Obama should aswelll. To show the hypocrisy of it. But they’ll probably argue that it’s about consecutive terms…
