I wish it was still there. Unfortunately (and in a “history rhymes” kind of way), it was one of the first targets of OG Nazis back in the 1920s.

The Institute was actually accepted by society and visited by politicians, but built up to be a bogeyman by Nazis, then by Nazi press and then by mainstream press.
Then in 1933, immediately after the NSDAP came into power, it was raided by Sturmabteilung and its library’s books were burnt in the first bookburning by the Nazis.
